ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. This day is dedicated to relaxing and acclimatizing after your journey.
You can explore the vibrant town or simply unwind at your accommodation, Arusha Coffee Lodge, known for its lush gardens and serene atmosphere.
Rest well to prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast at Arusha Coffee Lodge, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The day will be spent on game drives, where you’ll spot various wildlife.
Your accommodation for the night will be either Tarangire Safari Lodge or Sangaiwe Tented Lodge, offering comfortable rooms and stunning views of the park.
Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
Following breakfast at Tarangire Safari Lodge or Sangaiwe Tented Lodge, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, vibrant birdlife, and the alkaline lake itself, teeming with flamingos. Spend the day exploring the park on game drives and enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature.
In the evening, you’ll settle into the Kirurumu Manyara Lodge, perched on the edge of the escarpment with panoramic views of the lake and the Great Rift Valley.
Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
Start your day with breakfast at the lodge before heading to the world-famous park. Upon entering the Serengeti, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive, immersing yourself in the vast plains that host an incredible variety of wildlife.
Your accommodation for the next two nights will be either Seronera Campsite or Serengeti Heritage Camp, blending with the natural environment.
Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a full day of game drives in Serengeti, home to the Great Migration and an abundance of wildlife. Depending on the season, you may witness the awe-inspiring movement of wildebeests and zebras across the plains. You’ll have a picnic lunch in the park, allowing you to maximize your time exploring this iconic landscape.
Return to Seronera Campsite or Serengeti Heritage Camp in the evening to relax and recount the day’s adventures.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you’ll depart for the Ngorongoro. The highlight of the day will be descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater floor is rich with wildlife.
You’ll spend the night at Rhino Lodge or Simba Campsite, situated on the crater rim, offering breathtaking views and comfortable accommodations.
Day 7: Ngorongoro to Arusha
On your final day, enjoy breakfast before driving back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping or a brief city tour in Arusha. You’ll then be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure, concluding your unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure.
